They will turn the marquee into a satirical fun zone, dressed in costumes and accessories that hide their identity and allow them to play pranks.
The Entroido de Cobres is full of rituals and traditions that have been preserved over the centuries and passed down through generations to the present edition, where the dancers proudly carry the responsibility of being guardians of a cultural heritage that has become a symbol of identity for the entire municipality of Vilaboa.
After a sunny Sunday, the Entroido de Cobres enters its third day, during which the maghachos will take over from the dancers and become the main characters of the nighttime celebration inside the marquee. These are anonymous individuals, hidden behind masks or disguises, dressed in clothing that conceals their identity. On Entroido Monday, they are allowed to play pranks. They choose their victims within the marquee and subject them to jokes and mockery, always trying not to be recognized.

Elderly residents remember this day of the maghachos as the most fun for those who could not or were not selected to be part of the madamas and galáns couples. While the chosen young people spent the year creating their outfits — including elaborate hats adorned with flowers and crystals symbolizing a welcome to spring — others planned a night of satirical fun closely tied to the Galician carnival spirit.
On the eve of the big day in the festival schedule — a local holiday in Vilaboa — the celebration will continue late into the night with performances by Orquestra Fuego and Dúo Prisma.
