This spring, the Entroido de Cobres took part in five major cultural events across Galicia, Spain, and Portugal, showcasing its traditional madamas and galáns while reinforcing its role as a living symbol of Galician intangible heritage.
On March 9, it participated for the first time in the 27th edition of the Festa do Lacón de Cuntis, a gastronomic and cultural event in the province of Pontevedra, where the presence of madamas and galáns brought a vibrant touch of tradition to the festivities.

On May 2, the Entroido de Cobres made its debut at the 23rd edition of La Trobà in Oropesa del Mar (Castellón), a traditional crafts and culture fair. Its participation, coordinated over the past three years by the local Department of Tourism, was enthusiastically received by the Valencian audience.

On May 17 and 18, Cobres joined the 10th edition of ViboMasck, held in Viana do Bolo and Vilariño de Conso, a major international festival of traditional masks with participants from Galicia, other Spanish regions, and delegations from Portugal and Italy.

On May 24, the group returned to the 17th edition of the Iberian Mask Parade in Porto, joining over twenty delegations from across the Iberian Peninsula and strengthening Galicia’s presence in this international event.

These activities are part of the annual outreach strategy led by the Asociación Cultural Cobres to preserve and promote the Entroido de Cobres as a cultural symbol, intergenerational project, and ambassador of Galician intangible heritage.
