Entroido de Cobres was one of the main highlights of the 1st Meeting of Carnivals of Southern Pontevedra, held in Bueu on 8 November 2025.
This event brought together, for the first time, the most important traditional carnivals from the southern part of the province of Pontevedra, in a day that combined discussion, cultural reflection and public performance. The participation of madamas, galáns and musicians from Cobres reinforced the cultural identity of Vilaboa and its significance within the landscape of Galician carnivals.
In the morning, a round table focused on the emblematic figures of traditional carnivals, while in the afternoon a parade through the streets of Bueu took place. During the parade, Entroido de Cobres showcased its unique rituals, traditional costumes and choreographies to an engaged audience.
Participation in this initiative further strengthens Entroido de Cobres as one of the most valued expressions of Galicia’s intangible cultural heritage, promoting its visibility, preservation and continuity.
