Entroido de Cobres will travel to Piasca (Liébana, Cantabria) on Saturday, 21 February 2026, to take part as a guest group in the traditional Piasca Carnival 2026, one of the most distinctive celebrations in northern Spain, focused on preserving and promoting carnival traditions and intangible cultural heritage.
The participation of Entroido de Cobres will form part of a wide programme of activities organised by the Cultural Association “Andruido en la Paré de Piasca”, which will also feature other traditional groups and carnival characters from across Spain, including El Atenazador de San Vicente de la Cabeza (Zamora) and the Zamarrones de Los Carabeos (Cantabria), alongside cultural organisations and musical groups from the Liébana region.
The day will include an official reception for participating associations, the carnival proclamation, cultural performances, traditional music and festive activities throughout the day. Entroido de Cobres will take part in the main programme and in the large parade of participating associations through the streets of the town of Potes, one of the highlights of the carnival celebrations.
This participation represents another opportunity to continue promoting and giving visibility to Entroido de Cobres beyond Galicia, sharing space with other traditional cultural expressions and strengthening links between popular celebrations committed to safeguarding cultural heritage.
